Roxy 03:40
I flew up Got shot down A ball of fire falling from all around Now you're back Like before Was taken prisoner by a knock on the door I know you know just what to do You taught me things I never knew I know you know just what to do Been there before been through it too Was swept up To the sun One day its figured then it all comes undone I guess that's what this life is really about One day you're silent Next you're looking to shout I know you know just what to do You taught me things I never knew I know you know just what to do Been there before been through it too It's something you've never been sold no That one golden brick in the road oh And if you're wondering where all of it goes I get the feeling now that nobody knows I get the feeling now that nobody knows I get the feeling now that nobody knows I know you know just what to do You taught me things I never knew I know you know just what to do Been there before been through it too It's one little bump in the road oh This life is too fast to grow old no Well what's the one thing that you can't live without? To rest assured but then you're filled up with doubt It's all of your fortunes foretold oh There's no hidden trick to unfold no And if you're wondering where all of it goes I get the feeling now that nobody knows I get the feeling now that nobody knows I get the feeling now that nobody knows I know you know just what to do You taught me things I never knew I know you know just what to do Been there before been through it too

Memories 04:39
One way eyes You know it's true Lost my heart Well how about you Told a lie A broken truth I don't mind So why should you Cross my mind try not to care All this love you can't compare Found out late I never knew I was there but where were you Well if it's good make it last No you can't change the past Holdin on to a scene But they're just memories Have I been here before Well I don't know anymore Think they're just memories Yeah they're just memories Now they're just memories Yeah they're just memories Broken door What a dirty scene Don't wake now It’s just a dream Crossed my mind Tried not to care Don't look back We're almost there Well if it's good make it last No you can't change the past Holdin on to a scene But they're just memories Have I been here before Well I don't know anymore Think they're just memories Yeah they're just memories Now they're just memories Yeah they're just memories I can't seem to remember But I just can’t forget I've been stuck in a moment That I shouldn't have kept It was only a moment Only a dream But I'm stuck in that moment Trying hard to forget That you're only an anchor Can't look back in regret It was only a moment Only a dream If it's good make it last No you can't change the past Holdin on to a scene But they're just memories Have I been here before Now I don't know anymore Think they're just memories Yeah they're just memories Now they're just memories Yeah they're just memories Think they're just memories Yeah they're just memories Now they're just memories Yeah they're just memories

about

Follin is the musical project of brother-sister duo Madeline and Richie James Follin. In the down time between record cycles of their respective bands, (Madeline of Cults and Richie of Guards/Willowz) they decided to finally record and release something together. It was an idea that they had hoped to turn into a reality for years, but time never permitted. Finally, in the summer of 2015, their schedules aligned and they were able to make it happen. Although they’ve been making music together since they were children, these songs mark their first collaborative release.

Growing up the children of musicians, the two were raised on early 80’s So-Cal punk. Richie being the elder sibling carefully curated Madeline’s music collection to align with what he was listening to at the time. The siblings have always had a deep connection to music and still share that bond today.

With this project, Madeline and Richie wanted to do something different than they had ever done before. Inspired by distorted synthesizers, drum machines, samples, harmonizers, tape effects and atmospheric sounds, they experimented with new instruments and different vocal styles. Having come to music through the same bloodline, they share a musical voice that made their writing process second nature and continues to shape the way in which they write and record. The songs were recorded at Stockholm Syndrome Sound studios in Bushwick and in their mother’s living room in NYC.
