High School Lover is the debut 7" from Santa Monica, CA's Oregon Bike Trails (now Cayucas). Zach Yudin originally created OBT as a solo project but has since expanded to a full band. The bass-y strut on "High School Lover" gets your head bobbing and at the same time, recalls a certain nostalgic nod to 50s/60s era pop songs. The B-Side "Cayucas" was a previously unreleased track that is sure to bring back fond memories of summer when you're holed up in your apartment in winter. The 7" is hand numbered, limited to 500 on white wax. Vinyl orders come with instant digital download.

I spent my New Year's hangover listening to "Sky Mall" on repeat, when I discovered my new favorite bass player. "Fugue State" is what you get if the Muscle Shoals musicians took a break to noodle around on Bach and eventually became my wake-up alarm. "First Place" reminds me of that scene in "Clerks" where Randal walks into the adult video store.
